[MAUI]: Maui No Ka Oi

Published 9 months ago • 1 min read

Maui is the best, the Hawaiian phrase "Maui No Ka Oi" boasts.

And, it is.

If you've ever been to Maui or to Hawaii, you know the power, the love, the healing you can experience because of the Aloha Spirit that infuses the Hawaiian islands and culture.

Is it a perfect place? No. It has it's stuff just like any place.

Is it sacred and beautiful? Yes, it is. So special!

I had the great honor of living on Maui for 3.5 years back in the mid 2000's. It was a dream come true and changed my life in beneficial ways forever.

Maui, I am so grateful.

Now, it's time to give back. To help the people there who are suffering so much through this tragedy and deep loss because of the wild fires.

Will you please join me in donating to any number of the local causes on Maui?

First, I have the GoFundMe page of my first Latin dance instructor on Maui's partner and her daughter and grand kids, who lost their homes, schools and everything in Lahaina. It's humbling to even write this. Unbelievable. Click here to donate to their family now.

Second, I found this article that is encouraging donating to LOCAL organizations in Hawaii that have a fast response time in allocating funds to people in need. I found this article. Check it out.

Here's a group from Honolulu, Oahu with ideas of where to donate on Maui or within Hawaii. Click here to read and get links.

May we all be at peace.

May be all be safe.

May we all be happy.

May we all be healthy.

Thank you.

With so much Aloha Nui Loa Spirit,

Sarah
